Our Mission
The Mission of GOLD STAR SERVICES NETWORK (GSSN) is to honor and support Gold Star Family Members by acknowledging the profound grief these Families endure for our nation that can never be repaid.
GSSN Board Members utilize their experience in both the Media and Hospitality industries to partner with local organizations to promote awareness and provide events designed to recognize the heroic legacy of the loved ones these Families have lost.
GSSN has the distinction of being founded by a Gold Star Family Member who understands deeply how the long-lasting effects of this unique burden weighs heavily on all Family Members. We strive to create a compassionate Network where no Family feels alone in their loss.

Barbara Zaneri
FOUNDER & CHAIR
Following an accomplished and successful career as a C-Suite Executive in the media and entertainment industry, Barbara founded Gold Star Services Network (GSSN) to honor the legacy of her brother who was tragically taken from their family while in service. Understanding the devastating effects the loss of a loved one has on all family members, she is dedicated to using her professional skills to create awareness for Gold Star Family Members everywhere and to assist the organizations who support them. The GSSN goal is to have Gold Star Family Members recognized nationally alongside their fellow military and veteran service people.

Jonathan Stone
CO-PRESIDENT
Jonathan Stone is a producer and performer with a track record of raising millions of dollars to finance an array of entertainment and philanthropic projects. He has built and nurtured lasting relationships with notable individuals across the entertainment industry as well as leaders from Fortune 500 companies. His network includes many top-rated socially conscious companies of our time, reflecting his dedication to supporting projects that are entertaining and impactful making significant contributions to the non-profit sector and serving on the boards of several highly successful non-profit organizations, lending his expertise and industry knowledge to causes close to his heart.

James Behmke
CO-PRESIDENT
James Behmke is the Owner and Managing Partner of Behmke Innovation Group serving both U.S. and international clients with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution across a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and computer arts. He is a long-standing supporter and committee member of the Edison Awards, an organization recognizing and honoring innovation and excellence. His philanthropic work includes a collaboration with the Foisie Innovation Studio of his engineering school, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He holds a BS Electrical Engineering from WPI and JD from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.

Dan Alicea
VICE-PRESIDENT
Dan Alicea is a successful and accomplished hospitality executive widely recognized in the media through his extensive experience in food and beverage management, hotel operations and commercial real estate development. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Madison Resorts, he has purchased and revitalized several oceanfront properties on the East Coast including the largest resort in Cape May County, NJ. Most recently, under his guidance and leadership, Madison Resort Wildwood Crest was named the #1 Best New Hotel in the country by USA Today, a distinction of considerable note as the only hotel in NJ to receive this honor.

Angelo Costanzo
TREASURER
Angelo Costanzo is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in NY, NJ and FL with over 30 years of Senior Accountant experience with an extensive background in government policies, audits, financial statement preparation as well as management experience in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Analysis and the development and implementation of Accounting Control Procedures. Following a 25 Year career in government service, he now manages his own boutique CPA firm that specializes in small businesses as well as corporate and personal tax services.

Michele Galasso
SECRETARY
Michele Galasso is an Administrative professional with a strong track record of performance in both the legal and insurance industries. Before retiring, Michele served as the Executive Director for several law firms across the greater Philadelphia area and now serves as a business strategist and implementation expert for a private state licensed insurance firm. Dedicated to philanthropic causes, she has served for several years as a board member to various South Jersey charities and is currently an active member of two Chamber of Commerce groups in her area.
