Memorial Day in Ocean City: Gold Star Services Network Supports Gold Star Mothers

On Memorial Day 2025, Ocean City, New Jersey, held a poignant ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park to honor fallen military veterans and Gold Star Mothers. The event featured a tribute to Gold Star Mothers, the unveiling of a chair of honor recognizing their sacrifices, and a special acknowledgment of a 100-year-old World War II veteran residing in the town. At 9 a.m., Gold Star Mothers participated in raising the American flag at the Music Pier, and at 3 p.m., the community observed the National Moment of Remembrance on the Boardwalk.

Representing the Gold Star Services Network, board member Michelle Galasso attended the ceremony alongside her mother, Elizabeth Zaneri, who is also a Gold Star Mother. Their presence underscored the organization's commitment to supporting families who have lost loved ones in military service.

The Gold Star Services Network remains dedicated to honoring the memories of fallen service members and providing support to their families. Participation in events like Ocean City's Memorial Day ceremony reflects our organization's ongoing mission to recognize and assist Gold Star families.
