Run to Remember 2026 Returns to North Wildwood on Memorial Day Weekend
The 9th Annual Run to Remember will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in North Wildwood, New Jersey, bringing the community together to honor veterans, fallen service members, and the families who continue to carry their legacies forward.
This meaningful Memorial Day Weekend event benefits veterans and those who have lost loved ones in service to their country. The run/walk will begin with registration at 7:30 AM at 15th Avenue and the beach in North Wildwood. The 5K run begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the 1-mile fun walk at 8:40 AM.
A Run With a Powerful Purpose
The Run to Remember began in 2017 in honor of Patrick Corcoran and the 74 Lost Sailors from the USS Frank E. Evans. For many veteran families, the only place they had to remember their loved ones was a flag. Patrick Corcoran’s flag was flown every Memorial Day Weekend in North Wildwood for years.
When that flag was stolen one night, the community knew there needed to be another way to honor not only the men from the USS Frank E. Evans, but all veterans and their families. Nearly ten years later, the Run to Remember continues to support veterans, their families, and the ongoing work at Veterans Park in North Wildwood.
Partner With the Run to Remember
There is still work to be done at Veterans Park, and the Run to Remember is inviting local businesses, organizations, and community members to partner with the event in 2026.
Sponsorship opportunities include:
Platinum Partner – $1,000
Includes a special shoutout on the “Welcome Home” radio show, plus everything included in the Gold Partnership.
Gold Partner – $750
Includes everything in the Blue Partnership, four free registrations for the 5K, and a social media shoutout.
Blue Partner – $500
Includes everything in the White Partnership, one booth space at the event, recognition on the event website, and ad space in the runner’s packet.
White Partner – $100
Includes logo placement on the event website and event shirt, plus name recognition in the runner’s packet.
