Military Support Alliance, American Gold Star Mothers, and Gold Star Services Network Team Up to Give Back
The Annual Meeting of the American Gold Star Mothers of New Jersey featured a meaningful presentation highlighting ongoing efforts to support military families and active-duty service members.
The presentation was led by Michael Schaffer, a Navy veteran and former New Jersey chaplain for the American Legion. Schaffer, along with a dedicated team of volunteers, operates the Food Warriors program as part of the Military Support Alliance of New Jersey. The program focuses on improving the quality of life for men and women in uniform by helping provide essential support, resources, and comfort items to those who serve.
This year, a request came from the Honorary Commander 1st Army 174th Brigade for comfort items to be included in kits that would go directly to local military families, as well as active military men and women deployed overseas.
In response, Gold Star Services Network stepped up in a big way, donating more than 1,000 health and hygiene supplies to support the effort.
Gold Star Services Network Delivers
The donation of over 1,000 comfort kit items reflects Gold Star Services Network’s continued commitment to serving military families, veterans, and those currently serving our country. These health and hygiene supplies will help provide practical care and comfort to service members and families who deserve continued support from the communities they protect.
The collaboration brought together several mission-driven organizations, including Food Warriors, Military Support Alliance, American Gold Star Mothers of New Jersey, and Gold Star Services Network.
